BLOCKBUSTER®, MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PROPERTIES® AND FOX SPORTS TEAM UP FOR "FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL PLAY WITH THE PROS"
The Sweepstakes Run Through July 25
DALLAS, July 7, 1998 -- Renting video games from BLOCKBUSTER won't get you a contract with a Major League Baseball® team, but you could end up a Big Leaguer for a day. Eight winners of "FOX Saturday Baseball Play with the Pros" sweepstakes, presented by BLOCKBUSTER and sponsored by Major League Baseball Properties and FOX Sports will win an expense paid trip for four to Los Angeles to meet Los Angeles Dodgers® players, practice with the coaches and enjoy VIP seats at a game.
There are two ways to play; "Rent and Win at BLOCKBUSTER" and "Watch FOX and Win." Every time a member rents a specially marked Major League Baseball® video game at participating BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO® Stores, they will automatically be entered to win the grand prize. Four winners will be drawn on August 12 and notified by mail. To play "Watch FOX and Win," people can pick-up a numbered game piece at participating BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO locations. Four winning numbers will be announced on FOX Saturday Baseball broadcasts from July 4 through July 25.

Even if you don't win the grand prize in BLOCKBUSTER's sweepstakes, you can still be a winner. Members will receive a $7 coupon good towards the purchase of select Major League Baseball® video games at Toys 'R' US when they rent any MLB game at participating BLOCKBUSTER locations.
"Teaming up with Blockbuster and FOX is the beginning of Major League Baseball Properties' quest to educate kids and promote the game of baseball," said Bob Gamgort, president, Major League Baseball Properties.
