INDIANA BLOCKBUSTER® STORE TO HOST KIDPRINT® BOOTH AT BLAIRSVILLE FUN FAIR

Parents Invited to Have Their Children Videotaped for Free

(Indiana, Pa.) , March 26, 1998 -- Committed to safeguarding children and families, Indiana's local Blockbuster® store (1590 Route 286 South) will offer parents the most important video they will ever own - KIDPRINT - a free videocassette recording of their child for emergency identification purposes.

Blockbuster will host a KIDPRINT booth at the Blairsville Elementary School Fun Fair on Saturday, March 28, from 12 to 4 p.m. The videocassette records a child's mannerisms, appearance and voice.

"Blockbuster has offered KIDPRINT nationwide for eight consecutive years during the month of August, said Blockbuster store manager Tracey Galasso. "However, we consider requests from local organizations on an ongoing basis and try to host KIDPRINT at community events as often as possible." "The KIDPRINT video provides parents, police and news media a practical tool should something happen to a child," said Ernie Allen, president and CEO of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), a not-for-profit resource to find missing children.

Blockbuster operates approximately 6,000 video and music neighborhood entertainment stores in the United States, its territories and 25 countries and may be accessed internationally at www.blockbuster.com. Blockbuster is a unit of Viacom Inc., one of the world's largest entertainment and publishing companies and a leading force in nearly every segment of the international media marketplace.
