Crist has been with Blockbuster since 1996, when he joined the company as director, business development, mergers and acquisitions. In his new position, Crist will oversee the operations of the company's financial systems, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Blockbuster, Crist worked as senior director of product management and then executive director of international expansion at Alamo Rent-a-Car, working in Europe and Latin America. Before that he was a senior audit manager at Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co. Crist is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, and he received his MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a certified public accountant, has served as vice president and treasurer of the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, is a member of the Duke University Alumni Advisory Committee. Crist and his wife currently reside in Dallas.
